A helpful place to start

A little guidance goes a long way.

Learn how Rankrook connects your site, proposes changes and gives your agents the same controls.

Getting started.

Five steps from your site's address to Rankrook's first run. Each has one thing to do, and you can finish later.

  1. Add your address

Enter your site’s address. Rankrook adds it switched off, in report mode.

  2. Prove it’s yours

Add one DNS TXT record, or serve one file at your site’s address.

  3. Connect Google

Sign in with Google and approve read-only access to the site’s Search Console data.

  4. Choose how Rankrook works

Reports, draft pull requests or autopilot. Drafts need a repository you select through the GitHub App.

  5. Watch the first run

Rankrook runs its loop once and shows what it found on Home.

Guides.

A few things to know.

Rankrook works on its own test site today. Customer onboarding, the dashboard and agent access are still being built.

These guides describe the customer experience we are preparing. Public connections and accounts are not available yet.

Do I need to connect a repository?

Repository access is optional. The GitHub App gives selected-repository access for reviewable code changes; search access is a separate choice.

Will Rankrook publish for me?

New customer sites will begin in report mode. Changes come as drafts or pull requests, and automatic merging needs your separate approval.

What happens to my search data?

Your site's private search queries are available to you and your own authenticated agents. Read the privacy policy for research sharing, processors and retention.
